Budget Home Theater is thrilled to announce the recipient of our 2020 Singer-Songwriter Music Video scholarship!
Jessa Pontier, a freshman at Community College of Allegheny County in Pittsburgh, PA, was awarded the $1,000 scholarship based on the submission of her video performing her song “Get That.”
At Budget Home Theater, we love music and we’re committed to helping young singer-songwriters achieve their dreams. The Singer-Songwriter Scholarship is our way of encouraging young artists to do just that. The song Jessa performed on her video is both subtle and powerful. She’s blessed with a clear, lovely voice which has total command of the song. Her presentation and technique are simple and pure. Oh, and we loved the cameo appearance of her dog, who was obviously there for support!
Our Singer-Songwriter Music Video Scholarship is designed to promote study in music and related disciplines, such as composing and performance, through a monetary scholarship of $1,000. Scholarship awards are based on Originality, Musical Technique and Presentation.
